FAQ

What's with the love happy joy joy thing?
'Love Happy Joy Joy' was written for our first album - initially it was just an attempt to write a song but we really think that God used us in this. It has a wonderful effect on people of all ages.

Did you really have a drummer called Sami Namih?
Yes - it's true. He spent the 02-03 school year with Ashby Youth for Christ and played with us on several occasions. He's a good laugh and makes an appearance on the covers of All Equal Beggars? and Broken Hope.

Why do you keep making albums? What are you trying to achieve?
Partly to prove we can and partly to try and change the world. Our first albums a kind of an easy listening album - it was written for primary school children, but the second two aren't easy going - there's some powerful stüff in there. We've released three albums in a year, 6 months apart and we intend to keep doing so until God tells us to stop or our fingers fall off. Some of it is funny, some are love songs, but the bulk of it is common problems that people in the pursuit of God come across. We think the fact that the songs are so honest is the reason that some people enjoy listening to us so much and the same fact is the reason why so many people hate listening to us.

I've found your bonus tracks! They scare me! Please explain?
The bonus track of our first album was recorded in the dining room of the bloke who recorded us. It includes such exciting features as 'God, You are God', 'what do you want to drink?' and 'the screaming kid'. We put it on because we found it funny.

The bonus track on the second album was a recording of five of us - me & danny, two friends and the guy who recorded us, walking to Burton Cineworld from Woodville, which is a couple of miles down the road, on new years eve, 2002, to watch the final showing of Lord of the Rings II of that year. Breath taking samples include 'signed the pledge; don't wash', 'the boy racers' and an improvisation on the bridge going over the Trent, entitled 'Rubber Daine is in the river'. We put it on because we believe your lives will be enriched by it. NOTE: We were not drunk, drugged up or full of caffine in the recording of this bonus track - it's just that Danny doesn't get out much and the fresh air went to his head a bit.

The bonus tracks on the third album are two remixes of 'Anna's Song', which were put together by the guy who recorded us. We put them on to please the guy who recorded us.

The bonus track on the fourth album is another mix of 'In Your Way' which didn't make it onto the full album due to sounding a bit like it was played by 13 year olds with guitars.

What is a Rubber Daine?
You can find it in Leeds. It's not worth explaining.
